Volunteers may provide services either in the way of clerical support to the office, or through patient care activities.

  • Support for patients. This can include visiting, reading, taking walks, writing letters, bringing in music, supervising visits with pets and/or massage therapy, for volunteers with the necessary skills.
  • Respite and support for family members. Volunteers can stay with our home patients while their caregivers get some much need time to run errands.
  • Bereavement support programs. Hospice volunteers can work closely with the hospice’s professional bereavement staff.
  • Eleventh Hour volunteers sit with our patients who are actively dying and are alone or who’s family needs additional support.
  • Help patients engage in fun activities and games, nail painting and hand massage, modified exercise and more!
